Saving the Mute and Helpless.

About two days ago I had a very strange dream. First of all it was completely mute! Yes, thats right absolutely no noise. I felt like I wanted to say something but i wasn't able to, either from fear or just physical impediment. Anyway let me start if off.

I was standing on the side of the road, with my friend and his family. His mom, dad and brother were all there. His dad was leading us down the road, which was very wooded. It looked like a sunny warm summer afternoon. I followed along with everyone, all of a sudden fireworks started going off, and we came upon a street that was "downhill" from where we were. Then a lone horse appeared and began slowly cantering down the hill towards the three suburban houses at the bottom. One house was visible directly at the bottom of the hill, a dead end street. At this point my mom's friend start waving us to follow her down there, like she knew who lived there. We all followed somehow my friends dad just evaporated and disappeared. No one seemed to notice. His brother distractedly pointed at things in the woods as we walked down the hill towards the house.
Suddently we reach the house and enter through the side door, this whole time the atmosphere changed, it seemed tense. I was scared for some reason, anxious. I wanted to yell out we shouldn't be in here, we dont know wholives here. I wasn't able to, it felt physically impossible and almost like i was drowning on the inside. I clutched my neck but kept walking forward. We went through a series of stairs and hallways to the bottom floor where there was this small room in the back. It smelled horrible, i remember wanting to vomit. His mom walks in, I feel my friends' presence behind me. His brother had gone off at somepoint to look for food. I walk into the room and see a collapsable crate with puppies inside. She looks at me smiles and points. I somehow understand that we're here to save them. They look like REALLY young boston terrier puppies, except the only problem is that they were tri colored, almost like a swiss mountain dog. But i could distinctly make out the appleheaded structure in the head, the smooshed in muzzle etc. I was sure they were boston terrier pups, they looked one maybe two weeks old. still blind wriggling around. Next to me near the door is a crate, in the crate is a large black dog, belgian sheep dog, for sure. He's gorgeous, luminous yellow eyes make me want to cry. On top of the crate oddly enough is a Fox, it was more brown then red, and it looked at me knowingly, it was not caged up but free. I dont know what it was trying to convey to me.
To my Left are three ferrets, who looked miserable and were staring at me intently as if i had to make some sort of decision. Everyone looked at me expectantly but i couldn't speak. All of a sudden there was alot of commotion and i turn around. This tall blonde with greasy hair and messed up teeth was mouth wide open lunging at me. Hair was suspended in the air like medusa, here eyes were completely white. It really creeped me out. Everyone is gone, all that is left is me alone in the room with the animals. Everything goes black. That was the end of the dream.

Weird huh? i woke up alittle disturbed and rattled. Funny thing i saw my first stray dog that morning, it looked emaciated and dirty. A husky mix, i called the pound, they promised to pick him up. How i wish i could have stopped and personally helped him. Another failing. Atleast he might have a warm bed and food tonight.
